Memorial Seat for Elsie

At their Ordinary Council meeting on August 24th, Willoughby City Councillors voted unanimously in support of the placing of a memorial seat outside the library in Namoi Road, Northbridge in honour of the late Margaret Elsie Kaye.

In early August, the family of the Late Elsie Kaye wrote to Council to ask for their advice and approval to install a seat with a suitable plaque in Elsie’s memory outside the library in Namoi Rd Northbridge.

Elsie Kaye (fondly known as “the Angel of Northbridge”) passed away on June 1, 2014. A brief outline of her life is documented on our website at http://northbridgepa.com.au/2014/06/06/tribute-elsie-kaye-angel-northbridge/.

The NPA wrote a letter in support of the family’s request saying that:

Elsie was well known and well regarded by generations of children and parents in the Northbridge community, and we feel it would be befitting that a memorial be erected in her honour.
